Steel

Whenever a high degree of hardness is required, steel is a good alternative. In the jewellery sector steel is also a way of emphasising the design requirements on the material. However, not all geometries of steel are ideal for casting - we would be happy to advise you on this. In most cases, steel castings require the installation of thicker sprues than silver or brass castings.

Cast steel is ideal for technical parts such as mechanisms, spectacle components, model components, or as just mentioned, as a basic material for designer jewellery. Various special alloys with different biocompatibility are available for the dental sector. Another variant to produce e.g. burnished parts is non-corrosion resistant iron.
